After walking down a quiet trail, I turned around and started back, and this White-Tailed Fawn and its mother jumped up from their resting place (less than 10 feet off my path). They moved away from me so I whistled and when the fawn turned to see what the noise was, I shot this. This was one of the last shots I look during a one hour evening drive to the west of Waukesha (it was off a frontage road near a golf course with a few other deer). ![]() Elk—Moran Entrance Station—Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming We found lots of elk in the Tetons, but it was the time of year that they were a bit spooked of us and/or shy.
