We have two life-size deer in our back yard (both concrete and very heavy!). This past week it has been snowing a lot, and this shot shows the 15 or so inches of snow on the doe's back.  Sandhill Cranes—New Berlin, Wisconsin On my way home from work one evening, I found these two cranes feeding in a somewhat flooded corn field that had not yet been planted, I stopped and watched them for a while.  Young Sparrow—Founders Park—Old Town Alexandria, Virginia This is one of my all time favorite baby bird pictures.  Frame Park—Fox River Flooding—Waukesha, Wisconsin With the Fox River overflowing its banks, the paved River-Walk in Frame Park was underwater the night that I went down to see the mess (the river crested the next day about 9 feet above its normal level).  Barstow Street Dam—Fox River—Waukesha, Wisconsin In June 2008, the Midwest (including my home town, Waukesha) was drenched with rain for a few days. The Fox River crested at about 9 feet above its usual level. This was taken the night before it crested. Park—Door County, Wisconsin
A shot of my son on a moped (red tail light), while I was riding another moped in the park (yes, it's legal to ride in the park, but maybe not while taking photos). Mopeds and bikes can be rented at a number of places in Door County, including Edge of Park, Inc., outside the entrance to Peninsula State Park in Fish Creek, Wisconsin.
